Privacy policy
This policy describes, in general terms, how information may be handled when someone visits Rotary Gungahlin. It does not claim compliance with a specific statute and it does not register an operator. The site is independent reading material and does not request gambling accounts.
General provisions
By using the site, the visitor accepts this description. If they disagree, they may leave the pages. Processing is limited to showing the content and remembering a notice preference.
What data may be processed
This project does not ask for a name, email, telephone number or identity documents. There are no registration or contact forms. The only data that may exist are those the browser itself sends when loading static files, plus a preference stored on the device if the cookie notice is accepted.
Technical data
The server or hosting environment may routinely log IP address, browser type, language, requested pages and time of access. Those logs, if they exist, support operation and protection of the site. They are not used on these pages to build commercial profiles.
Cookies and local preference
The notice on the site states that a local preference about that same notice may be stored. In practice the site uses the browser’s localStorage with the key rotarygungahlin-notice and the value seen when the visitor chooses Understood. This project’s code does not set advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. The visitor can delete that preference from the browser tools.
Purposes of processing
- Display the static content of the site.
- Remember whether the cookie notice has already been closed.
- Allow basic navigation between the home page and these technical pages.
Legal bases
In general terms, technical processing may rest on the interest of keeping the site running and, where a preference is stored, on the voluntary action of the person who accepts the notice. This page does not invoke a specific legal regime or a named data controller.
Third-party services
The code of this project does not embed advertising pixels or social widgets. If the visitor opens the site through a hosting provider, content network or browser, those actors may process data under their own rules, which are outside Rotary Gungahlin. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com); that request is subject to that provider’s policies.
Retention and protection
The notice preference remains on the device until it is deleted. Technical logs, if hosting creates them, follow the period that environment applies. Protection relies on ordinary practices for static sites: not collecting more data than needed and not publishing credentials in the code.
Rights of the visitor
Depending on place of residence, rights of access, correction, deletion, objection or restriction may exist. Because this site does not keep an identifiable visitor file, practical exercise usually means clearing browser data or stopping use of the pages.
Age limit
The main page discusses gambling products. It is intended for adults. Age is not requested in a form, but minors are not expected to use the promotional material.
